What We Do
Blockchain is transparent. Reading it is the hard part.
Every crypto transaction is recorded on a public ledger — but turning millions of pseudonymous movements into a clear account of who did what, and where the money went, takes specialist tools and tradecraft. CipherHunt traces funds, attributes wallets, and builds the evidence picture our clients need to make decisions, support claims, and pursue recovery.
Our Capabilities
Forensics, investigations & recovery
A full crypto-investigations capability, from first trace to recovery support — delivered for professional clients and the people they act for.
Blockchain Tracing & Transaction Analysis
Following the flow of funds across wallets, exchanges, bridges, and mixers to establish where assets originated and where they went.
For litigation · fraud · recovery
Wallet Attribution & Clustering
Linking addresses to entities and behaviour patterns to help identify the parties behind a set of transactions.
For investigations · enforcement
Crypto Due Diligence & Source of Funds
Risk screening of wallets and counterparties, and source-of-funds analysis to support onboarding, transactions, and compliance decisions.
For corporates · insurers · compliance
Fraud & Scam Investigation
Investigating crypto fraud, scams, and theft — reconstructing what happened and identifying viable routes to pursue.
For insurers · corporates · victims
Evidence & Reporting
Clear, structured reports setting out our findings, the methodology behind them, and the supporting on-chain evidence — written to inform your legal and commercial decisions.
For law firms · litigation funders
Recovery Coordination
Where assets are identified, coordinating with exchanges, legal partners, and Comera Intelligence's wider investigations capability to support recovery efforts.
For all clients
Our Method
A disciplined, evidence-led process
Whether instructed by a law firm or approached by an individual, we work the same way: methodically, transparently, and with a clear account of what we can and cannot establish.
-
STEP 01
Scope
We define the question, the assets involved, and what a useful outcome looks like for you.
-
STEP 02
Trace
We follow the on-chain trail — transactions, wallets, exchanges, and off-ramps.
-
STEP 03
Attribute
We connect addresses to entities and behaviours, building the picture of who and where.
-
STEP 04
Report
We set out findings, methodology, and evidence clearly — ready to act on.
-
STEP 05
Support
We support next steps — legal action, claims, exchange engagement, or recovery.

A Comera Intelligence Company
Backed by Comera Intelligence
CipherHunt is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Comera Intelligence Ltd — an established intelligence, investigations, and risk-management firm. For our clients, that means crypto cases draw on wider investigative expertise and secure infrastructure — and that you're dealing with an established, accountable organisation, not an anonymous operator.
It's the difference between a name on a website and a business you can verify, instruct, and hold to account.

For Individuals & Estates
Lost access to your own crypto?
The same forensic capability that serves our professional clients also helps individuals recover lost and inaccessible assets — honestly, and without false promises.
Forgotten Credentials
Lost passwords, partial seed phrases, or passphrases you can almost remember.
Failed Hardware
Damaged drives, dead hardware wallets, and corrupted wallet files.
Legacy Wallets
Early-era formats that modern tools no longer open without specialist help.
Estate & Inheritance
Crypto left behind with no documented recovery instructions.
The first conversation is free and without obligation. If we believe recovery is realistic, we explain the work and the cost in writing before you commit — and if we don't, we'll tell you, so you don't spend money chasing something that can't be done. Most lost crypto cannot be recovered; being honest about that is part of how we work. Recovery and investigation services aren't covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service — one more reason we put every scope and fee in writing first.

How to tell a recovery firm from a recovery scam
If you've already lost crypto, you're now a target for a second scam. UK regulators call these “recovery room” frauds: criminals who promise to get your money back, then disappear with an upfront fee. We'd rather you learn the warning signs — even if you never use us — than be caught twice.
Warning signs of a scam
- Contacts you out of the blue by phone, email or social media
- Guarantees they can recover your funds
- Claims to work for, or with, the FCA, police or a government body
- Demands a fee with no clear explanation of what it's for
- Uses a free webmail address rather than a company domain
- Pressures you to act quickly before you can check them out
How CipherHunt works
- We never cold-call. You come to us, on your terms
- We never guarantee recovery — often it isn't possible, and we say so
- We're a registered UK company, part of a group, with a verifiable address
- Every cost is set out in writing, in advance, before you commit
- We use proper company channels and identity checks throughout
- We encourage you to take your time and verify who we are independently
Worried you've been targeted? Report it to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 (England, Wales & Northern Ireland), or to Police Scotland on 101 if you're in Scotland. You can also tell the FCA on 0800 111 6768 — it publishes public warnings about scam firms, and it will never ask you to transfer money or share your PINs or passwords.
